CLOSED CAPTION VIEWING SYSTEM AT MALCO THEATRES

Captions are now available so you can read what you can’t hear and enjoy the latest movies with your friends and family.

The CaptiView system consists of a small, OLED display on a bendable support arm that fits into the theatre seat cup holder. It transmits and receives encrypted closed captions on a wireless band frequency. With an 80 metre signal range, CaptiView can be used from ANY seat in the house. The high contrast, easy-to-read display comes with a privacy visor so it can be positioned directly in front of the movie patron with minimal impact or distraction to neighbouring patrons.

Four easy steps to connect:

1) Collect your captiview unit from the box office or Candy Bar (ID must be provided as a deposit)

2) In the cinema, place the base on the cup holder and turn the unit on.

3) Select the cinema you are in by scrolling through using the “A” function.

4) Press “C” to connect and the captions will commence once the movie starts.
